DG Australia Timeline

November 2014

Sharon and Gillian packed up their lives in the UK and jumped on a plane to Australia with only 2 suitcases each and a laptop. They arrived on Australian soil with temporary accommodation booked for only 2 weeks.

December 2014

They found a permanent house which also doubled as the office for the foreseeable future. They met up with Pippa McMahon, who was an ex-colleague of theirs from London. She was working for Nakama at the time which was a big player within the Digital industry and an immediate competitor within their space.

January 2015

Digital Gurus Australia officially started trading. Working out of their new home, they made it work and put in the time and effort.

February 2015

Sharon and Gillian did their first deal. After their success, Pippa joined as a Senior Consultant which was their first hire. Once Pippa joined the team they moved into a serviced office. They did their first placement in Singapore as part of their APAC expansion in 2015.

January 2017

Digital Gurus were one of the first agencies to specialise in CRM & Automation in Australia, with the hire of Rebecca Smallwood.

March 2017

After the boundless success, Digital Gurus moved to their very own office.

They also became strategic partners with Interactive Minds in 2017 – helping educate the market with their digital events.

September 2017

They did their largest deal in Digital Gurus History.

December 2017

Nominated and won four out of 10 global awards for excellence, which showed w.hat a dedicated and passionate team they had created. For their efforts they were also awarded with a bespoke trip to Bali

Q2 2018

Best ever quarter since trading!
