CHANGE RELEASE & TRANSITION MANAGER – SAAS – £50-55K

Are you a leader in the Change Release & Transition Management space looking for an opportunity to join an organisation embarking on a significant game changing digital transformation?

Our client is a world renowned UK organisation with phenomenal heritage. They are a strongly values and purpose driven organisation within areas including sustainability.

Following a recent review and board sign off, they about to embark on a game changing digital transformation that will pivot their business significantly into being more of a SaaS based provider moving forward, and this could be your opportunity to play a significant part in the next stage of their journey and evolution

This is a brand new key role which will be at the centre for the organisations digital agenda moving forward

Your role will be both challenging and rewarding and involve:

  • Undertake effective planning of releases for implementation/deployment, coordinating with all relevant areas for training, comms, website changes etc.
  • Planning the release of project deliverables and release life cycle
  • Uphold the standards for technology release management
  • Communicate the project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different teams
  • Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates
  • Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected
  • Track the progress and find issues, if any, always working to improve the process of releases
  • Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release
  • Provide weekly updates on the release activities to Technology and wider business areas where appropriate
  • Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy both new, and upgrades to, software successfully

As a leader in the Change, Release and Transition field you will have an enviable track record on the digital product delivery side with demonstrable evidence around effectiveness and data impact / growth as well as:

  • Proven project Change Release and Transition Management experience, ideally with a recognisable certification
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines
  • Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of SaaS purchase, configuration, and launch
