Network Analyst – Permanent – £32-36K + benefits – Wolverhampton

An interesting client of ours are currently searching for a Network Analyst to join them on a Permanent basis in Wolverhampton.

The Network Analyst Role will act as the second line of support for all incidents, requests, problems and changes associated to their area of networks whilst also providing support to assist Senior Network Analyst and Head of Network Services during installation, configuration and maintenance of both physical and virtual network components.

The key purpose of this role is to support BAU activity by ensuring the business has stable, performant and secure systems from a day to day operational perspective.

Furthermore the role must ensure a smooth and simple process when dealing with live system issues/incidents, maintaining visibility, tracking live issues and working closely with key internal stakeholders.

Experience and knowledge required:

  • 2 years previous experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure role is essential.
  • 3 years previous experience of support the following is essential: Network and Telephony Technologies
  • 3 years of previous experience supporting other critical technologies is desirable: AV Protection, Monitoring and configuration Systems, Virtualisation (VMware), Storage (Dell / HP Sans) and Support, IT Security (OpenDNS, Cloudflare, Splunk) and Web Infrastructure
  • Working for a Financial Services organisation previously would be desirable.
  • 1 year Experience with VOIP and related network configuration is essential
  • 1 year Experience managing infrastructure and change within PCI compliant environments is desirable
  • 1 year Experience with Amazon AWS and other cloud technologies is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of configuration around DNS, and DHCP is essential
  • Excellent understanding of firewalls, best practice, security, VLANs, custom routing is essential
  • Excellent understanding of VMWare ESXi is desirable
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server operating system from 2008-2016 is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of configuring network appliances routers / switches is essential
