Principal Java Developer, South Manchester/(remote), £75,000 +/- DOE
A brand new, crucial role has been created for a Principal Java Developer with a market leading organisation. Due to the continued success of new business and growth this organisation has doubled in size this year! The Principal Java Developer is a hands-on (90%) & management (10%) role; you will be an inspirational leader playing a vital part of your Scrum Team and contribute to wider business advancement. You will solve complex problems, drive, and produce high quality code, whilst providing active technical leadership and personally and professionally developing your team of java software engineers.
Skills required:
- Hands-on experience with JVM languages (Java).
- Experience coaching and mentoring others / technical leadership
- Agile development and TDD practices
- Challenges the norm, curious & inquisitive – always striving for continuous improvement and development in yourself, team members and the organisation
- Collaborative by nature, always keen to learn and share knowledge and ideas.
Technologies & Tools: Java, Spring Boot, Pair programming, automated testing & continuous integration, Chef, Kubernetes, Terraform, Packer, Docker, Gradle, Cucumber, Jenkins, SQL, JavaScript, Groovy, agile, scrum.
