Digital gurus have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on product owner to join a leading SaaS innovative web-based solutions company for the automotive industry based in the heart of Reading. You will drive the development team creating exciting new products by providing descriptions of product road-map and requirements and coordinating the workload for AGILE sprints.

This organisation operates a start up approach with the financial backing from a global blue chip company, with ambitious plans to double headcount in the next 12 months, you will be joining a exciting industry leader and a real chance to further progress your career.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit and capture requirements from the product management team, customers and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in high level inter departmental project planning and prioritisation
  • Elaborate requirements into features, epics, user stories with appropriate descriptions and detail
  • Ability to define MVP (minimum viable product) and manage phases and releases
  • Be an advocate of AGILE principles
  • Ensure the development team deliver items to an agreed understanding of DONE that meets the expectation of quality, security and functionality
  • Perform planning for sprints
  • Participate in SCRUM meetings planning, review and retrospectives
  • Review work as it is being produced to give more input, definition and indicate suitability
  • Sign off final deliveries on a feature and user story level
  • Follow the company policies and procedures, and provide guidance and advice on their development and maintenance

Experience

  • Experience of working in a SCRUM team and following an AGILE process (4 yrs.)
  • Experience of performing task of a SCRUM product owner
  • Excellent problem solving (root cause identification, risk analysis)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to write concise specifications
  • Use of a ticket tracking tool e.g. Jira, Visual Studio
  • Understanding of Web technology (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Ability to visualise and describe complex workflows and user flows
  • Ability to prioritise and group features
  • Knowledge and experience of the software lifecycle and development process
  • Knowledge C# programming
  • Mobile platform experience
  • Certified SCRUM Product Owner
