RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Sales team grows, we are looking for a Sales Engineer in London to take on the responsibility of being the liaison between our engineering team, sales team and prospects – to ensure customer needs are more than met in regards to Information Security, data integration and data privacy. You will be working hand in hand with the engineering team regarding security and help provide training company wide to make sure it is top of mind in every aspect of the daily work.

You will explain to customers how we meet both end user and technical stakeholder requirements alike, building strong, long term relationships to ensure our customers trust that we are keeping our data secure. Our customers trust us to keep their data safe, and as we grow, their trust will continue to be a top priority for the business and this role. You’ll also guide customers on how to integrate their HRIS and BI tools with X – helping build tightly coordinated sets of tools to maximise the ease of use, accuracy and impact of our platform.

Additionally, you will work with customers to both convey our internal and external efforts to detect vulnerabilities and deter threats, as well as coordinate with customers to run their own bespoke testing.

You will spend significant time supporting the rest of the business on security and privacy-related matters, and work closely with our legal and sales teams in making sure our customers trust us at every point of their journey with us.

ABOUT YOU

With 2-4 years of Sales Engineering Experience, you are an engineer at heart, with a deep technical understanding of Information Technology and IT as well as web applications. You stay up to date on the latest news and technology trends as well as changing data regulations like GDPR and the latest developments in Californian and US privacy law, all while keeping yourself informed about current security best practices.

You have a mix of Sales, Engineering and Security experience, perhaps working as a security engineer at a medium- or large-size company, or as a sales person more drawn to the technical aspects of the sales cycle. You are looking to join a smaller, global team where you can have a big impact in the company and for customers.

You are a great communicator who is equally comfortable talking and writing about complex systems with IT stakeholders, as well as making the complex sound simple when communicating with business stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Desire to improve the world of work
  • Passion for technology, data science algorithms, statistics, cloud security & infrastructure and GDPR along with the ability to explain complex topics in a way our customers can understand
  • Customer focus and experience dealing with external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, from presentations to documentation for our customers and sales teams
  • Organisation and attention to detail
  • Fast learner with a proactive approach to work
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce and the usual productivity software
