My client is on a search for a passionate Software Engineer who would thrive in a fast-paced agile environment.

As the Software Engineer you’ll be building out the suite of business applications and API’s using modern JavaScript tools to develop sites that evolve with the trends and lead the way in the world of Ecommerce. There’s a range of complex projects awaiting innovative solutions – for example, the Fullstack development team recently developed a CMS for an eCommerce site that seamlessly enables customer purchases from within rich editorial content.


  • Active involvement in the development of the eCommerce platform
  • Active involvement in the development of internal and public facing APIs
  • Work collaboratively in a team of around 3 to 5 agile Engineers
  • Help foster an agile engineering culture
  • Adopt good engineering patterns and practices
  • Compile and maintain good quality documentation
  • Provide developer support to the application support and infrastructure teams
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in technology (particularly relating to eCommerce, microservices and mobile development)

Experience needed:

  • At least 24 months of full stack JavaScript and Node.js and React.js development experience
  • Good knowledge and experience of unit testing
  • Knowledge and experience of developing REST web services and APIs
  • Knowledge and experience of TDD, BDD and test automation
  • Knowledge and experience of database development, ideally including MySQL, MongoDB and Redis
  • Knowledge and experience of deploying to cloud services, such as AWS
  • Some knowledge and experience of CI pipelines and DevOps methods
  • Desirable to have some knowledge and experience of search engines such as SOLR and Elasticsearch
  • Desirable to have some knowledge and experience of mobile app development for iOS and/or Android
