Especially when it comes to head hunting, social media has made a huge difference for the recruitment industry. In fact, this year 93% of recruiters use or plan to use social media for hiring. By searching social networks including LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, recruiters are able to find and contact candidates who may not be actively looking for a new role.
On the flip side, recruiters also use social media to assess if a candidate is the right fit for a particular company. The study showed that 55% of recruiters have reconsidered a candidate after checking out their social media profiles, which means there’s more reason than ever to ensure your social media is up to speed!
