A major football club needed to hire a new Head of IT. Their previous experiences with recruitment companies lacked clarity, and the very specific requirements of the role meant they wanted a start-to-finish, managed solution.

The club described the difficulties they were facing in recruiting for this role:

Initially, the club sought to soft recruit – talking to industry contacts and friends to seek candidates.
Over a three week period this yielded little and the clock was now ticking. Digital Gurus presented a suitable shortlist inside of two weeks; finding skilled people from a range of industries.
Managed by a dedicated account manager, our structured campaign allowed the club’s IT Director and HR Department to see a complete overview of the process. It began with a marketing plan:

The club retained our services for a small upfront fee, with a further discounted fee on successful placement of the candidate. 600 initial applications were received, before a long-list of 10, and subsequently a shortlist of 4 was produced. The shortlisting process included screening and a technical personality based
assessment, conducted via telephone.

member of the interview panel.
